1. How does one get her parents to move from Dothan to Fairhope? I am missing them terribly, and can think of nothing that would make me happier than if Kay & Greg lived here. It's really quite pathetic. (And I've already tried the "I'll have a baby" route. Didn't work.)
2. At what age does is become inappropriate for one to roll out of bed and go to work/errands/etc...? I know this was perfectly acceptable behavior in college, but I seem to have not gotten out of the habit. I'll rush out of the house in terrible clothes, barely fixed hair and no make up. I'll be fine with that until I catch a glance at myself in a mirror, and then I am just embarrassed. Is this okay to be doing at 28? Should I be taking time in the morning to look pretty? I'm really at an impasse here...
3. This is not a question, but I need some new books to read. Suggestions?? I like lazy fiction reads...must be some drama involved (no Mitford series for me).
That's all. Please help me.
P.S. I'm sorry for posting the gross pictures. I hope this will make up for it...There are few things cuter than this little girl...
well, I'm 29 and I definitely went for bagels from Bruegger's Saturday morning in my flannel pajama pants, flip flops, sweatshirt, hat, and no makeup, so you are good a while.
ReplyDeleteI am betting that if you had a set of twins or triplets she would come ! As for the not dressing up and no make up....I can never figure out why you and Lucy do it but then again I do it but I don't know anyone here. Love you...
ReplyDeleteYou are a funny girl, for sure! i think you're fine not dressing up! who cares if you're that funny and cute??? i think you can get away with it. as for a book....have your read "what a girls wants?" by kristen billerbeck. you'd love it! (i think you could relate to the character a little maybe).
ReplyDeleteI went to school in my pajamas today. But I was going straight to the dunking booth for Earth Day Celebration :) Books- Have you read Borrowed and then their is a sequel to it i forget the title. Its by Emily somebody. That's helpful. Then there is Savanah Blues, it has others in the seried too. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteEmily Giffin! She has great books - read the whole series. Start with "Something Borrowed" then read "Something Blue" - you'll love them, like Carrie said!
ReplyDeleteYou always crack me up! When you find a good book, let me know... I'm having the same problem!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Mrs. Griffin's latest- it read the whole thing over a series of 6 months without buying the book. Sorry Emily Griffin.
ReplyDeleteAs for the messy look- it's very in right now. I just read a whole page about it in some style magazine. Although, I'm sure those celebs try very hard to look "messy" and you can just pull it off without trying. Consider yourself lucky.
I don't have any words of wisdom on the rolling out of bed thing...I would love to be able to do the same thing, but I think I'd be without a job. Consider yourself lucky that you're beautiful regardless!!
ReplyDeleteAs for getting mama and daddy to Farihope...I'm having the same issue with my mama. I've begged her for a while now, and I think it might be making a difference. Maybe when babies get here...let me know if you think of another way to get them there. I'm always looking for suggestions.
:)
You've kicked me off your blog friend list... I'm hurt! I'm back... check my blog every now and then!
ReplyDeleteCan't help you with your parents. No suggestions. And I iron my clothes and pick them out for the week ahead - it helps with rolling out of bed. Yet, I still look like I rolled out of bed, so that isn't really the answer. Try reading "The Crush" by Sandra Brown. Oh, it is a little steamy but it is good.
ReplyDeleteYou need to read "See you in a Hundred Years." It's a true story about a New York City couple who decide to live like they were in 1900 for a year. It's hilarious.
ReplyDeletehey! the bottles had punch in them - we served them like that instead of using cups:) everyone loved them! also, i made pacifiers out of mints, jelly bellies & icing. if you need ideas like that for a shower i'll send you a picture! hope you're well - how's that ear of yours?
ReplyDeleteLove reading your blog. Read "Serve God Save the Planet." It will change your world!
ReplyDeleteOk...how funny are your post. It is like reading the dialogue from a movie. My current read is The Last Lecture, by Randy Pausch. AWESOME....before that was The Sovereignty of God...my next book is Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny. theology and parenting books are about all I ready. I feel like I am wasting my time on fiction.
