Ten or 15...

My precious friend Carrie tagged me. I am supposed to write a list of ten things that you (whoever YOU may be) don't know about me. I thought this would be really hard but, today I read Ashley's list of 100 on her blog. So I can do ten!

Here goes...

1. I eat the same thing for breakfast every day. Activia Light (I alternate strawberry, peach and blueberry) and a Fiber One bar (oats and chocolate).

2. My husband makes my lunch every day and puts it in a cute little lunch bag. Yes, I am 27 and still carry a lunchbox. Today I had PBJ and grapes.

3. I worry about money. Like finances. Since Justin owns his business, our monthly income is never the same. I don't deal well with uncertainty... I know that we have always been provided for and I trust that we always will, but I still worry. And I am not good at sticking to the budget. So basically I make myself worry.

4. I host a Bible study at my house on Monday nights. My job is to make the coffee.

5. I don't know how to make coffee. I don't even drink coffee!! But I really like to have the women in my home. Justin makes the coffee...

6. I don't really like to talk about my faith on this blog. I would much rather have a face-to-face conversation with you about the Lord and what He is doing in my life. I really enjoy talking about God and even debating theology, but I would hate to have my written words misunderstood or taken out of context. Especially since everything on this blog is completely unsolicited...I won't get a chance to correct any impression that I could mistakenly give. I hope that makes sense. But you should know that I have been a believer for as long as I can remember. I love the Lord and enjoy ministry.

7. I have a hard time being serious. The above paragraph took like 20 minutes to write.

8. I haven't had a pedicure since September. My feet are disgusting. Mom, please send money. (See #3)

9. I still talk to my best friend from high school at least once a week. Her name is Dusty, and she has the most beautiful (almost) 3-year-old little girl, Allie. I wish she would get a blog, but she has no time for such things. She is a special ed teacher and in school full-time to get some other kind of degree. She already has like two. I admire her ambition.

10. In college I once bought a new TV with my loan money. It was a necessity. We still have it in our bedroom.

11. I DVR Days of our Lives every Friday. I figure that if I make sure to catch it once a week, I won't really miss anything. I've been watching it since elementary school.

12. I always wish my hair looked differently. I have the "grass is greener" syndrome.

13. I have never cut grass in my life.

14. I love my dogs like they are people. It really is sick. You probably already knew that.

15. Most high school girls intimidate me. When Justin and I were filling in in the youth ministry at church, I was terrified. I have really good relationships with most of the girls in our youth group, but the other ones just scare me.

I think I could keep going! Maybe this is a sign of narcissism... I shall stop.

I am going to tag Lindsey. She is my roommate from college, and I think her list will be very funny. And she needs to write about something other than Mr. Clean. JKLK. I love your post on the Magic Eraser.

I will also tag Sally. Last year I learned that her name isn't Sally at all, so I'm sure she has some other secrets I should know.

That's it for now... I'm off to Disney World with the in-laws. Pray for me, my friends...

  3. Loved the 15! Aren't you proud of me for coming up with 100? It's harder than you think...plus you just feel like you've talked about yourself non-stop for hours...oh, well. I am with you on finances; I always think about them but then I am not afraid to drop major money at any given time. I guess that's just being a girl!
Have fun in Disney...can't wait to hear the stories!

  4. Great job! I understand about high school girls. I teach them and it still intimidates me. Just something about the attitude and my need to be liked!
