Busted

Thursday was day o' fabric buying. I went to RichTex with my samples. Decisions made. Measurements accurate. I waited in line for the longest time to make my purchase.

And then I went over my "budget."

By 100%.

Oops. I'm not sure how that happened, I swear.

After seeking wise counsel on the matter, I decided not to exactly tell the hubs. I figured what he doesn't know...

I got home. I unloaded the 4 bolts of beautiful goodness. He said, "What is this green stuff for?"

"Oh, just some curtains."

And that was the end of that.

Until Friday at lunch. We have a standing lunch date each Friday. It's usually somewhere really romantic like the Chick or Moe's or Big Ben's Barbeque House of Love.

And it was at the corner booth at Chick-fil-A, where out of the clear blue sky he asked me to tell him EXACTLY how much I spent.

And that is the story of why I got left at the Chick-fil-A.

Oh, I jest. But he still isn't speaking to me...

  1. So now that my friends are getting married and having children etc., they have these blogs. And they expect me to read them and keep up with their lives. I am more of a phone or email or text person, but oh well. Seeing how I had the day off, I am catching up on the bloggers. I came across your blog. I would ask how you are, but this is blogging world and you can't reply. But I hope all is well.

  6. hmmm, I have thought the same thing about that sweater, too. No, It was specially made for him, though. I love it. You can do any color combos. When you have kids you will have to get them one.
