Last week was insanely busy. We had something planned for every night, and I worked like crazy at church to pull off our Thanksgiving dinner last night. I had planned for 250, but had only about 175. I wish I would have know that before I spent an entire day rolling plasticware in paper napkins...I sure am tired today. It's time for VACATION! We leave for Dothan on Wednesday, and I could not be more excited. I love spending the holidays with my family. It will be our first Thanksgiving with Sandi (as the wife), and I am very glad that she and Aaron plan to eat lunch with us. And I get see Susan!! She is driving through Dothan on her way to Hunstville, and we are going to meet for lunch on Wednesday. Whoo hoo!
Here are some pictures from the Fairhope Tree Lighting. Sorry there are no pictures of the actual lights... not sure what happened to those. It's become quite a tradition with our friends. We meet in front of the Fairhope Fudge Shop and get hot chocolate and peanut butter fudge. SO good. I'm not sure why they did it before Thanksgiving this year, but I'm not one to complain about early Christmas celebration. I love the stuff. The lights will stay lit through Mardi Gras, and they make downtown so beautiful and festive. I love this time of year in Fairhope. If only I had some money... I could buy some stuff at the little shops...
Love the blog and the cute pics!!! Wish I had been there. Love you, LUCY
