Maybe our country wouldn't be in such a financial crisis if we didn't rely on credit... as in only bought what we could afford.
Or here's a thought... saved for those things we couldn't.
Being in debt to China for 500 billion dollars competely baffles me.
What did we buy? Really, I want to know.

And Ten Years Later...
Long time, no blog.
I have been doing lots of very important stuff.
And taking naps.
So, since I have so much to say, I’ll just jump right in to it…
I have been planning my 10-year high school reunion.
It was a pretty time-consuming ordeal.
But it was last weekend, and now I am done planning.
I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!
I am amazed at how little people have changed.
I guess I was expecting some earth shattering differences.
Nope.
It was just like old times…everyone picked up where they had left off, even though many of us had not seen each other since graduation.
I loved watching all the guys who have become dads. And I loved seeing the beautiful children who look and act just like my girlfriends.
I loved reminiscing about who did what in high school, and who should have dated whom and can you believe he/she married so and so or didn’t marry so and so?
And I love the fact that the guys were too cheap to pay at the cash bar, so they kept their alcohol in the parking lot.
Nothing has changed.
It was like Prom 1998. (aka "Stairway to Heaven")
And I loved it.
(Note to Kay Bostic: I was certainly not partaking in the alcohol drinking during Prom 1998… just need to clear that up.)
Old Justin was such a trooper.
I was certainly in my element, and sort of forgot that I was married or something… I introduced him to a guy as “my friend Justin.”
The guy asked another friend what was the story with Emily and her friend, and he said that we had been married for like 4 years, and he was not sure what was up with that.
Oops.
And then I introduced him to my friend Adam as “my husband Adam.”
You can see how that could be confusing, right?
Poor Justin. He sure puts up with a lot.
I think he had fun too, because we stayed out until after 1:30 (IN THE MORNING!!), and he only said it was time to go when I put in to go to Waffle House.
The next morning I was really glad he did not take me to Waffle House. I would have regretted that.
That is how I got fat in college, you know…
Well, that and Guthrie's.
So, the weekend was perfect and wonderful… very worth all the planning.
I can’t reiterate enough how much fun it was to see everybody and catch up.
I think we should have a reunion every year!!
I don’t think I can wait 10 more, that’s for sure.
So if you are reading this and you were at the reunion, can we please get together over the Christmas holidays??
P.S. I’m trying to add pictures to this, but it is not working out for me… This one took half an hour, and I'm ready to go to bed. I’ll try again tomorrow.
